Traveling.
Modern
life is impossible without traveling. Thousands of people travel every
day either on business or for pleasure. They can travel by car, by air,
by train, by sea, by bicycle or on foot. Of course, traveling by
airplanes is the fastest and the most comfort way, but it is the most
expensive too. Traveling by train is slower than by air, but it has its
advantages. You can see much more interesting places of the country you
are traveling through. Modern trains have very comfortable seats. Speed
and comfort are the main advantages of trains and airplanes. Traveling
by sea is popular for pleasure trips. Large ships can visit foreign
countries and different places of interest. Traveling by car or by
bicycle also has its advantages. You can stop where you like and visit
some local sights, enjoy fresh air. You needn’t keep any time-table or
get tickets at the box-office. Traveling is remarkable in all seasons.
It is very exciting to discover new places, to meet with other customs
and traditions, other ways of living, to taste new food and drinks, to
watch unusual animals and plants. Of course, we can read about all these
things in books and newspapers, but it is much more interesting to see
everything with your own eyes. Several years ago our family went to the
South. We were traveling by the long-distance train. It was very
attractive to go out on almost each station in different towns and to
buy something or just to look around. We stayed at Gelendgzick, one of
the most popular seaside resorts in Russia. We admired the scenery of
the Caucasus, visited several beautiful beaches, and swam in the Black
sea. On the whole we had a very good pastime. From my point of view
traveling helps people to go away from life problems and also it is one
of the best ways to amuse and to have a rest. We often get tired of the
same surroundings and daily routine. Some relaxation is essential to
restore our mental and physical resources. That is why the best place
for relaxation in my opinion is the one where you have never been before.
